telemike 0
My stock 5-way switch starting acting up Popped in a Fender 5-way, the blade is a little short so th etip is now low profiling. Feels much better. My soldering won't pass pro-muster but it works :) I did accidently overtighten a screw on the back cover and split the mahogany :(
Gordy01 222
My stock 5-way switch starting acting up Popped in a Fender 5-way, the blade is a little short so th etip is now low profiling. Feels much better. My soldering won't pass pro-muster but it works :) I did accidently overtighten a screw on the back cover and split the mahogany :( Usually the wood splits toward the cavity. If that is what happened you could simply put a small piece of toothpick in the hole with a bit of glue, and then put the screw back in. That is if the plate covers it. If the split is exposed, visible, and bothers you, you may have to do a drop fill with a laquer stick. Or superglue.

rednefceleb 4
Practice your soldering on old discarded or unused parts. You'll get better. It's fun. "Google" it! && also: put it back together and forget it.
