Am i worthy enough to play one of hendrix's strats?

NO!!!!!!!

Not even Kenny Wayne Shepherd was....

Nobody is.

I wouldn't want to. Cause' in the end it is just a piece of wood with wires (wires that vibrate, and give music! What can this thing be that I found? Rush moment. Sorry. I watched the Time Machine show on TV today! That intro was hilarious! IT'S SAUSAGE TIME!!!!) that happened to be played by a master. I don't think I would really gain anything from it. Plus, that guitar (The Woodstock Strat) is so out of shape it probably wouldn't be that pleasing to play anyways! As far as the Monteray Strat, Dweezil Zappa owns that guitar (as Jimi gave it to Frank as a gift, as the Mothers Of Invention were on the same bill...) and it is perfectly fine. Far from being original, but I'm sure it plays better than the Woodstock Strat!

Come on kaleb, the woodstock strat is in my top 3 awesomest strats of all time, Before i die, i am gonna play the heck out of that Woodstock Strat

No, you're gonna find a Strat that speaks to you and you're gonna ride that Strat all over the world!

I have my fair share of "idolized" guitars.

I love Alex Lifeson's white ES-355 but I don't plan on playing it.

I would never go out of my way to do such a thing. I'd just be happy to say hello to the guy!

I don't need to play Alex's guitar, I got my own.

I'd only pick it up if Alex really wanted me to. Cause' as guitar players, we like playing each other's guitars, right!

But if it was being shoved in my face like Janie Hendrix does to some players, I'd say no.

I already have, and Believe it or not, ITS A SQUIER!

I'm sure it's badass, but you have a lot more guitars to play in your lifetime!

Not your favorite guitar, your favorite guitar SO FAR!

Yes, I got that from Homer Simpson....

Believe it or not, this guitar actually speaks to me, i can do literally anything with it and it can provide it to me, I'll do a recording today

Do I need to rephrase it?

You're young. You have yet to play many guitars.

It is possible to have multiple guitars that speak to you.

Ask Warren Haynes and Mike Campbell.

I asked Hendrix himself from a seance and he told me he had 2 guitars that spoke to him, The Woodstock Strat and the famous Black Strat (Black Beauty)

Why ask Hendrix?

Ask yourself, bud!

I don't ask Ace Frehley questions like that.....

Everybody's different.

Hendrix would have found more.

Just as any guitar player will.

FWIW... a friend had a book on Hendrix, listed the guitars he owned at the time of his death. Serial numbers were listed also, along with year. He owned something like 200+ Stratocasters. The majority being pre CBS Strats.
