356/359 size

Are these two guitars the same size? I saw a 356 (first time ever) in the store the other day and thought it was a Custom Shop 339 until I looked at the sticker price.

The 339/359 and the 336/356 models are all the same size -- smaller than a 335, bigger than an LP. And all come stock with '57 Classic pickups.

 

The 339/359 is built like a 335 -- pressed ply top, back rims.

The 336/356 is built a bit more like a chambered LP -- solid mahogany back/sides, maple top

 

The 339 and 336 are nickel hardware, single ply binding, rosewood fingerboard with dots

The 356 and 359 are gold hardware, triple ploy binding, ebony boards with block inlays

 

phew... that's it (except for headstock inlays and....)
