Keeping the strap from slippin' off

Hey y'all,

Once in a while, my strap will slip off the end of the guitar (off the pickup jack). I often grab my guitar in a hurry, especially when I'm writing songs. Though I always check to make sure the strap is secure, I worry about dropping my J-45. The poor girl already has far too many bangs and dings. Damn these small NYC apartments!

Is there anything I can attach to the jack to ensure that the strap doesn't slip off. Obviously, this isn't a problem when I'm gigg as the the cable keeps everything secure.

Any help would be appreciated.

Not that any of us need an example but this is a very shallow excuse to post this one! Pay attention at 0.55

I played a gig on saturday where a young lad had a beautiful Les Paul with strap locks. It fell off during the first song and landed on the headstock. Luckily no break but 2 tuners were damaged. I lent him my 335 to finish his set!

thanks for that, AJ. poor eric - and no tech in sight, either. robbie had his back as one viewer described.

here's a clip of eric but its my idol, jimmy page, making a fool of himself by pushing eric, playing slightly in-key and blowing a slide solo....

Thanks to all for suggestions. I'll be ordering this puppy ASAP. I've had a few close calls lately. No need to take chance when I've warned over and over again.

Best,
