I was at GC earlier looking to buy a Gibson LP Custom.

There's a couple here in GC Close to where I live it's about <5 Miles.

The price tag is $3499 but I told them that I can only go for $3K.

So the guy talked to his boss then he told me that they are willing to let it

go for $3150+tax. Is this a good price for this guitar?

The only diff are the knobs installed on it which is a Gold Speed Knob and instead of quilted

it's a AAA flames.

 

What do you guys think?

You can get nice used Customs on eBay.

I recently purchased a nice '82 Custom from Craigslist for $1200.

 

Deals are out there, you just have to look for them.

What year is it, is it new? Because new Customs are $3899 in MF catalog/GC, plain top. If it's new it sounds like a pretty good deal. Talk to the store manager yourself, you might be able to get another $100 or $200 off.

Those dudes at GC are used car salesmen! They can go lower, but they will do their damnedest to play you. Try to find out if anybody working there is a friend of a friend. They can cut a retarded deal if they want to.

It looks like but I am not really sure.

The diff between this and the Custom-1968-Les-Paul-Custom-5A-Quilt are it is Flamed not Quilted and the control

knobs. I will go back there today maybe my friend can get me a better deal.

Man!!!!My GAS attack is so intense I cannot even sleep last night.

I hope I get it cured right away.

centre city music in san diego can get you out for less than $3000 with tax. they beat GC anyday. 18885GIBSON. I don't know why people pay GC prices...

Interesting because the GC near me told me that they don't negotiate anymore (this after I bought 5 guitars from them!). So I drove 60 miles to the famous HOG in Rochester and the co-owner gave me $800 off the GC price for my Premium Plus.

I think I'm gonna let it go,they are not budging.

But I think I discovered a Gold Mine of Gibson right within my reach.

I found this store (Ebay/Online) where the price is really reasonable.

And they have more selections of Gibson' guitar's than the 2 GC 's here in the area.

It's called the Vintage Vault.

If you guy's have a choice between a Custom or a RI VOS.

Which one is a better guitar.
