Teke1987 0
Just purchased my first gibson after a lot of patience and savings - 2012 plain top satin trans black. I thought I did a lot of research on the guitar but was surprised when it arrived and when I opened the case the neck had bindings.?! Now it is not a big deal for me. I love the guitar but I can't figure why I can't find a single picture of a trans black satin finish with binding but thats what I got. Did I miss something in my research or did Gibson make a change this year? Even the guys at the authorized dealer thought I was off my rocker when I mentioned this to them. Any ideas? I've attached a close up photo.

badbluesplayer 657
Nice - I didn't see any of those guitars pictured with binding either. I really like the bound fretboards on Gibsons. They feel better.
