deepblue Posted November 19, 2008 Posted November 19, 2008 Heres a fantastic link for some info on Ace Frehleys guitars over the years. http://acelp.homestead.com/intro.html
tremolo arm Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I am not really a great fan of Ace's (or his purple pijama suit so faithfully portrayed in that website), but that did not stop me buying a Classic Custom, which is virtually identical to his signature model (except for the silly decals and price). DiMarzio's Super Distortion pick ups are so sweet they need to be heard to be believed. Kudos to Ace for fitting them onto a Les Paul and starting a revolution in replacement pick ups. If anything, buying that guitar made me dust off my Kiss Cds (and there was quite a lot of dust on some of them).
deepblue Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 my first concert was in 9th grade in 76, Mobile Ala was Kiss, my second concert ever was 79 Gpt Ms Kiss.... Loved the show and still have the 3/4 sleeve shirt. The ticket stub, and the book Kiss meets the Phantom. God I'm old Yes, I saw them for the first time in 1979. The Dynasty tour. I would have loved to see them in 76' I saw them at Maple Leaf Gardens in Toronto in August of 79. Peter Criss left the band in December of that same year, so im fortunate to have seen the originals. I saw Ace Frehley play Toronto in 93' at a club. I was star struck. He was 10 feet away playing his guitar. Then I saw the Psycho Circus tour in 97 or 98, I cant remember.
