Axewraps Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Most guitarist like to stick out from the crowd, but what about your axe. Does it look like everyone else's. Check out http://www.axewraps.com for a great way to change the look of your guitar without permanently altering the stock finish.
guitar_randy Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Nice Spam Conrad Would anyone want to put a sticker over the entire body of a Gibson guitar?
MikeRom Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Perfect for wrapping those toy guitars! No toy guitars here tho, try the mattel forum.
BIGBENDS Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 I've never seen two guitar's that look the same. We play 'em, sweat on them, scratch 'em, and in doing so we give them that unique look a real guitar has. I wouldn't buy this.
Thundergod Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 "without permanently altering the stock finish" ... yeah right... I'd like to see that. Did any of you, friends, watch the video? He uses a "guitar hero" guitar in the video.
AXE® Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Axewraps is better than...AXE raps :) yo yo yo boyeeeeee.
xchrisbobisx Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 im only ordering if they have hello kitty or kerropii ones.
Tim Plains Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Axewraps, if you ever read this thread again. I'm curious...how many of those do you sell? I can't see anybody doing that to a Gibson.
xchrisbobisx Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Yeah...you dont spend so much time researching and brainstorming what kind of finish you want, and then drop 1.5k+ just to cover your beautiful guitar in a "axewrap".
tepidy Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Really gay!!!!!!! Think Im going to throw up now
Stefptycia Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 What a to***r. But did you note that Slash is one of the celebrities advocating this muderous process!!
Stefptycia Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 no sh-t! really? have a link for that? Hey Thundergod He dosen't say in so many words but if you click on the ad in the first post and then click on celebrities then there's his pic. Stef
Thundergod Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 hahahahahahaha I cant believe it... Maybe he uses it with his guitar hero setup?
Axewraps Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 It is true, most guitarist will not want to cover their stock finish as they have probably paid a good amount for it. Most of our customers are purchasing axewraps for their lower end Gibsons or Epiphone guitars. Being on the purist side of things myself, I understand most of the comments already posted. We do have videos on the site that show skins being applied to GH controllers and Gibson/ Epiphone guitars. And they do not leave any adhesive or residue on the surface of the guitar when removed. Some of our customers are very good guitarists and have very expensive Gibsons. They have ordered an axewrap for a particular show at a particular venue and have removed the axewrap after the show because they, like many, prefer the stock finish. Thanks for all of your feedback. http://www.axewraps.com
guardcats3 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 why would you want to change the look of a Gibson? No one looks the same.
lowb5str Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Disclaimer: these thoughts are polluted by having too much blood in my caffeine stream, but here goes: 1) Truly, I think this fits with the "pickguard or not" thread. I think it might define a REMOVABLE pickguard, no? 2) If it were made in clear and a smaller area to cover only the "strum & pick" zone of usually largest wear, why not use a static-cling guard to protect your $$$ performing instrument? If it weren't for the fact that the merchant did not post a disclaimer about involvement, and if he had not indicated this as being GH-controller-friendly, would we be trashing it so harshly? No, I haven't bought one. But I am thinking one for a teen player in the house might be a possibility....

Axewraps Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Actually, I would not be replying if this was merely a spam. I do appreciate all the feedback I am getting. Even yours. Also, the fact is, lower price range Gibson and Epiphone guitars exist and although many of our sales are for the higher-price ranged Gibsons, the majority are for the lower priced range guitars. What is the line differentiating the lower price from the higher price? I guess that is in perception. My opinion is that lower priced range guitars are under the $500 mark. As far as insulting anybody goes, if you have bought a guitar under the $500 price range, you know that there are more expensive guitars out there and I would find it hard to believe anyone is offended. Really the only offensive comments so far in this entire thread is you calling me an "azzhole." And it also might be offensive to the thousands of our axewrap customers who love our product to call it only good for a plastic guitar, but that is your opinion and you are definitely entitled to it. Thanks for your feedback! http://www.axewraps.com
:oilpit: Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Alright Mr. Wraps, Ignoring the spamishness of this post, does Slash honestly use these on his guitar? Do you have a picture of him playing a guitar with a wrap on it?

As far as insulting anybody goes' date=' if you have bought a guitar under the $500 price range[/quote'] ...so, they are aplying this stuff to melody makers? Or by "under $500 gibson" you mean chinese fakes? Just asking. I would like to have a white reflective wrap thingy on my $10.000 neil schon guitar.
Axewraps Posted November 23, 2008 Author Posted November 23, 2008 Thundergod, you asked to see it, here it is:
