shadowboltshurt Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hi, I was given this Les Paul a couple years ago and I want to sell it. Can you guys help me find out how much I should sell it for and where I should sell it? I dont know what kind it is or anything about it. Check out the pictures. I also have a case with it. They are both in mint condition. Thanks you all!
RichCI Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 It's a Gibson Les Paul Studio and the finish is called Ebony. Prices new: http://www.google.com/products?q=Gibson+Les+Paul+Studio+Ebony As for what it sells used, I would compare to others on Ebay and Craig's List which are two places where you can sell yours.
AXE® Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 As it was a gift to you. So should it be a gift to me... Bout $800.00 is the going rate.
Thundergod Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 ...exactly when did you get that guitar? Looks kind of unused :) I love black studios with chrome hardware!
Flight959 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 As it was a gift to you. So should it be a gift to me... Bout $800.00 is the going rate. +1 Nice guitar! Flight959
xchrisbobisx Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Your guitar is worth 1200$ at the store. But because you own it then as of now its classified as a "pre-owned" guitar even if its new so...its only worth $900-$1000 tops, that is if its in mint condition. All scratches and wear and tear is of course deductible but i dont see any from the pics you provided. I would throw it on ebay for a 500 starting, $1100 buyout. you might get $700-$800 for it. Craiglist you could probably get $500-700 in cash. Lol...i also got your name. Your a warlock i take it? Im a warrior, berserker rage+pummel > shadowbolt.
shadowboltshurt Posted November 20, 2008 Author Posted November 20, 2008 Thanks guys! Im going to put it up on ebay so if you guys are looking for one in the next few days or so it will be on there. $500 starting bid $1100 buyout. Yeah it is pretty unused it has been played only a couple of times for very short times. haha im glad someone finally got the name reference. warlocks rule. Im playing a warrior now though heh.
Thundergod Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 A guy in another thread was asking for the price of a studio as he wants to buy one... maybe you can talk to him and sell him this guitar at a good price for both. Here is the link to his thread... your guitar looks like it just came out from the box... so you should be able to get a good deal. I'll leave a link to this thread in his thread too... you can also PM him...
shadowboltshurt Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 I dont see the link thundergod. Here is the link to the ebay posting. http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll?ViewItem&ssPageName=STRK:MESELX:IT&item=220316032493

phil325 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 Lol...i also got your name. Your a warlock i take it? Im a warrior' date=' berserker rage+pummel > shadowbolt.[/quote'] lvl 3 10-day trial warrior here. i got to level 3 just so i could unlock the ability to dance. then i quit. OP i'd say 800 like everyone else sounds right
guardcats3 Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 $500-$800. Guitar Center will only give you about $500 for it
Bluemoon Posted November 23, 2008 Posted November 23, 2008 In your e-bay post you should mention the year. Check the Gibson site for info to work out the year it was built from the serial number. Also, you may want to take the reference out about the puppy. It would, along with the fact that you have never sold anything on ebay before. make me suspicious.
