ufboy73 Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Guys, Can you guys recommend a guitar stand that would be safe for my LP Custom finish. I noticed a lot of white finished guitars in the shop that had pink discolorations from the rubber/foam used on a lot of the stands and certainly dont want the same to happen to mine! It seems to be some sort of reaction with the lacquer? at any rate, im sure you guys must worry about the same effect on your guitars so what brand do you use? thanks!
xchrisbobisx Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 i bought a stand, but it was so flimsey felt like it was always on the verge of falling. so i have 1 of those wall hangers instead,...
AXE® Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Hercules stands with a %100 cotton cover on the clamp and foot.
Tim Plains Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Buy a stand...any stand...and wrap the pieces that touch your guitar with white cotton...like so.
Silverbursted Posted November 20, 2008 Posted November 20, 2008 Take a look at the dresser drawers behind the guitar, a very nice setup they had at the Hollywood GC Platinum room. Also R9 has a beautiful cabinet arraignment for his guitars, perhaps we can convince him to post pics of his cabinet. Also NeoConMan has a nice one, but his is huge. Just another option to consider.
Thundergod Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 HErcules stands... I have some of the autolocking stands and dont like them but my tech swears by them. The ones I love are those micro stands hercules has...

retrosurfer1959 Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I use "Off the Wall" hangers which are nitro safe - but to be honest at home i store my main player on the couch or the leather chair in the studio.
