Gibson Explorer '84 vintage white, NOT REISSUE! Made in 1985

Recommended Posts

What made you think it was an Alder body and not Mahogany?

Gibson used to use random woods on their guitars from that period. My 1985 Explorer has a mahogany body, maple neck and ebony fretboard for example. But you can find every wood combination on those 80's Explorers. They used mahogany or alder for the body, mahogany or maple for the neck and rosewood or ebony for the board.

PS: Antonio, great work on the restoration ;)

Have you still got the original Dirty Figers pickups? If yes, are you willing to sell them?
