We've been going to Myrtle Beach for the last 15 years or so for the much required annual decompression. We usually go the 3rd week in August when all the kids are back in school. Every time I go I keep hoping a music shop will open up - there were one or two but they closed long ago. Anything that might be worth checking out isn't in MB proper - you'd have to drive out, and I'd much rather be on the beach. Also if your eating out I've always loved Dick's, but maybe not with the grandkids. It's also right down from the broadway so you've probably passed it.
