I'm up and gone to Carolina in My Mind but actually won't be leaving till tomorrrow. Heading south for a much needed vaca as work has really sucked lately.

Any of you forum pickers live in the area and wanna hook up shoot me back a message. Me and the boys are bringing our acoustics.

For $25 AXE® will give you the Carolina hot oil and incense treatment. Give him another $5.00 and he pulls out the deluxe splash. [wink]

That's funny right there. I don't care who you are.

Axe is a good sport to take that abuse, too.

You can double everything I said above if you owe him 30 bucks.

ZK, My sons are gonna hit the links. Chasing a ball in 90 degree heat is not my idea of fun. I'm more of a pool and beach kinda guy.

I feel ya.

If I gotta chase it, I ain't really motivated to hit it as far as I can. Just don't make no sense to me.

[lol] Sounds like a new game in the making! Only need two holes 400 yds. apart played like horseshoes. One player drives, the other putts and drives it back. First team to 21 loses!!!!

Guest rogerb

I went to Myrtle Bch on vacation a couple of years ago. Had a room with ocean view. Really enjoyed it. My favorite thing to do was to sit on the balcony in the morning, drink coffee and watch the activity on the beach.

Well we made it and yeah AXE® we will definitely be headed over there in the evenings.

Any cool guitar shops in the area?

We've been going to Myrtle Beach for the last 15 years or so for the much required annual decompression. We usually go the 3rd week in August when all the kids are back in school.

Every time I go I keep hoping a music shop will open up - there were one or two but they closed long ago. Anything that might be worth checking out isn't in MB proper - you'd have to drive out, and I'd much rather be on the beach. The only outlets are pawn shops and you'd be hard pressed to find anything of note.

You'd think there would be more music shops.

But. Nope.

Be sure to eat at http://www.originalbenjamins.com/

Yeah every time I go to Myrtle I have to stop at the Music Loft in Wilmington to get my guitar fix.

Also if your eating out I've always loved Dick's, but maybe not with the grandkids. It's also right down from the broadway so you've probably passed it.
