JWCole Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 I saw Little Joy last night & Binki was playing this little Gibson hollowbody, about the size of a Les Paul & for the life of me I can't figure out what it is. Can anyone help me out? higher res video of her playing it
Dynadude Posted November 21, 2008 Posted November 21, 2008 Looks like an ES-140, probably from the early 50s. http://vintage-guitars.blogspot.com/2005/12/gibson-es-140.html
JWCole Posted November 21, 2008 Author Posted November 21, 2008 *****in! Thanks a bunch for the quick reply. Apparently these aren't the easiest to come by.
clayville Posted November 22, 2008 Posted November 22, 2008 Looks to me like it might be an ES-140T -- the 3/4 sized version. It seems to have a small trapeze and dot inlays. Is that a chrome dogear P-90 on this example?
dougg330 Posted November 24, 2008 Posted November 24, 2008 Definitely an ES-140T - the cutaway version of the ES-125 T 3/4. If the PU cover is chrome, it's from mid- to late '60's.
