Rumba
Hi Guys, im new to this forum and have just recently purchased an Epi 335 Dot. My query is this, it has the Jack on the front of the geetah, which i personally don't like as im used toplaying Les Pauls and was wondering if it is a big job (or even possible)to move the jack socket on to the side roughly where the les pauls is? regards Rumba
Jayyj
It's possible - the BB King 355 has a side mounted jack, as does the Heritage 535. You'd need to come up with a way of disguising the hole in the top, and rewiring a 335 is a bit of a pain, so there are disadvantages to consider, but you can certainly do it if you want to. Gunner
Another option is to use a cord with an angled jack, then run the cord from the guitar output back through your strap. This keeps the cord out of your way while avoiding major surgery on, and devaluing of, your guitar.
milod
I'm with gunner. Ditto any guitar with the jack on top. m
kidblast
I'm also with Gunner, just get an angled cord, leave the cosmetics as they are.
