Hi there - I'm another newbie on the block and after information about a guitar on Ebay at present.

It's as described above - an SG with P90's, and a Bigsby style tremolo.

The seller says he believes these were only issued for a short period of time. It has two scratch plates - one round the controls and pickup switch, the other below the pickups in a more "normal" position. This is the item number - 150310797268 - does anyone know this model?

Regards,

Stompbox.

These are some nice SG models, but this one seems to have suffered a really bad headstock break.

Another thing to consider is the Bigsby. This guitar will always be plagued with tuning problems. Been there, done that, so I know.

An SG Pro will play and sound great, as long as it stays in tune, as it's basically a Special with front loaded controls, but personally, I'd much prefer a traditional SG Special for two reasons.

The front loaded controls detract from the looks of the Pro, and the Bigsby will be a big disappointment.

Personal preference plays a major role in this decision. Choose wisely, as this guitar will not have a good resale value.
