Thicker strings and work on the palm-muting, maybe, no effect springs to mind that would give you that without changing the overall sound. And I'm not one of those effects nerds that needs to know all the intricacies and tweaks. I just use the chorus, volume boost, reverb and some delay plus the looper sometimes. Quite idiot proof. I have a Dr Rhythm, but can't figure it out. I bought me wife a small drum (jimbe sp?) but she won't play it. I am technologically very impatient - I need plug and play. Hi, I'm using a stereo Boss RC-3 (no effects but drum beats and three hours recording and USB) and if you want more and effects, you might check this: Boss RC300 Loop Station Guitar Pedal (you can do almost anything with this one) but $$$ There is also the Boss RC-2 (less expensive ).
