To my ears, the J200's chords and notes sound more distinctive on the progressions played.. Of course, that impression can change on a different song/progression. Real sweet guitars. Must say you are a man who knows his direction and taste. In these cans they pretty much lie in the same vein. J-200 shows the heaviest bass. Which strings on the 3, , , , and can I ask why you went for both the 200 and the Dove maple – apart from the fact they both sound so good. mark49 Posted August 1, 2012 Author Share Posted August 1, 2012 thank you.I have Eathwoods on the J200 and the Dove,don`t know what is on the J180 ,whatever strings Gibson ships them with.I will be getting Earthwoods for the J180 .The Dove has maple sides and back ,my J200 has Koa sides and back.
