Bought a Marshall...

Not what you marshall whores are thinking... not at all... I bought another marshall pedal... the regenerator... prety good chorus and flanger... the phaser is ok (a little more than ok) but the chorus and flanger are just what I was looking for.

 

It sounds great with burstbuckers and single coils... with EMGs .. hm... not so good... (as everything else!)

 

Those marshall pedals are very good IMO, and at a very reasonable price

I have a Marshall pedal, a Jackhammer, way too gainy, I don't like it.

But the delay pedal kicks *** and I have heard nothing but good things about the guv'nor.

And as for the ok phaser, get a script or an EVH phase 90, you won't be disappointed

I happen to have that pedal also Blue... The Guv'nor... very nice pedal... it sounds very Marshally...

 

The jackhammer on the other hand... well it does have too much gain in one of the settings and too much lows in the other so, yes Oilpit, I dont like it either.

 

My comment about the phaser was not intended as it being bad... I didnt care much about it because I don't use phaser that much, so spending extra 90 in a EVH phaser won't happen anytime soon. The phaser on this pedal is actually good, but it pales in comparison to the quality of the chorus and the flanger. The Vibrato is ok too and it has this "step phaser" that works fine.

 

I think this marshall pedals are very good for the price, and some of them are a steal: the guvnor, the echohead and the regenerator.

I won't say that either Vox or Marshall are "better" than the other. They're different. Personally, I prefer that awesome Marshall crunch for classic rock... but Vox amps have their place as well (in The Edge's garage, that is)

At 29,99? That's defiteively a steal! 8go get one guys... no matter if you don't like it, you can sell it later when the price is up to 69,99 again).

 

The original Guvnor was different, some say better some say not.

 

The Guvnor plus (or guvnor II) is supposed to sound the same but in my opinion it gives more mids and lows and so it can make a little cheap amp sound like a full stack at low volume.
