Ritchie Blackmore is a monster on guitar, one my favorite players. This is a great clip.

I love the guitar/vocal duel on it.. that always sounds cool when bands to that (Led Zep used to do that too :))

Great Stuff, I love Purple!

I know I'm in the minority here, but I actually prefer Coverdale as a vocalist, even though Deep Purple put out their best material with Gillan.

Ritchie was my biggest influence as a lad in the 70s. not sure I'd have stuck with it had it not been for him.

Love the guy, with out condition!

And while I do agree there was good stuff with Coverdale and Hughes but Deep Purple is Blackmore, Glover, Pace, Lord and Gillan,

No offense Steve Morse but that AINT deep purple.

Machine Head and Who Do We Think We Are I still listen to a lot, brilliant stuff in both

Plus 1 to that. Can't beat the original line-up.

Agreed, Steve Moorse is a good guitarist, and it's better than no Purple, but it's not Purple.

When I first moved to Nashville back in the early 70's Disc Jockey week was still going on in October. I was at a party at RCA Studio A. Coors beer could not be purchase east of the Mississippi River at that time (i.e. East Bound and Down). They smuggled Coors beer in Deep Purple's piano case.
