treblot
I bought this Les Paul Studio Gold Top last year and it just doesn't sound right. The high E string sounds off but it reads E on tuner both open and on the 12th fret. How can this be? It just doesn't make sense. Does anyone have any ideas. I took it to a local shop and he thought he had it tuned but to my ear it is not. I live an hour away from anyone who works with Gibson's.
Bob Isaac
Flat or sharp? Some tuners can be a bit off, I often have to adjust a string (usually G or B ) even after using a tuner. It can also depend on how hard you strike a string using a tuner. Bob
GuitarsAnn
My SG 12 will sound sharp if I fret too hard due to the string height at the nut being too high. I'm planning on dropping the guitar off at Gibson to have it set up for my style of play. String height can be a cause. GuitarsAnn
