fretplay
Just got one from E Bay. It works but, like most things needs a little getting to know! Has any member got one with the instructions? I understand they have pictures of the various setting, if you have and could mail it to me that would be great.

Versatile
A lot of trial and error once the basis principles are understood... The Boss is a good compressor for guitarists Many electric players have one on all the time Electro acoustics can benefit too...smooths out that piezo harshness And the vol boost or cut is very useful... kidblast
you have to get the right settings on these so they do the job without sucking the life out of your tone., I have a Visual Sound that for my rig, it's not quite as heavy handed.

fretplay
I looked at the Boss Manual but it only gives a blank control sheet, I guess for writing in your settings you are already happy with. I was wondering if you guys have settings electric and acoustic you could pass on to me!
Versatile
As mentioned, it is important to experiment...every player has their own objectives... Obviously 'Level' and 'Tone' are outside issues...so start at mid both... I tend to use low Attack ( 0-3 ish ) Sustain around 3 for acoustic...3 and upwards for electric (an acoustic will feedback with high sustain settings) With careful settings things become natural and part of the overall sound... V Thanks Versatile, when you say 3 do you mean 3 as 1 to 10 Mini to Max ( so about 11 o'clock) or 3 on the clock?

Thanks fretplay...I mean numerical as per a dial...looking again I realise '3' is more like '2'...horizontal pointing left... V
guitar_randy
I have that pedal. I never did get it to work well for me though.I think it can be a useful pedal,I just end up not using most all mine except my cry baby bow and then. All of them kinda take tone away in my opinion.
