phh
Hi all, I am a new member from Denmark. I have been searching for at vintage L-0, L-00 or L-1 for a long time, but you don't see them a lot around here. Now I may have an opportunity of buying a 1936 HG-00, and I would like to hear a few opinions on whether is something I will live to regret or something I should go for. My fascination with the old L's is related to my interest in acoustic blues and though I am lousy player, I enjoy playing it on my Gibson Keb Mo and a Martin 00-28 EC. I have tried a few early L's when visiting NYC and I was impressed by their lightness and sound. Is the HG likely to be very different? What should I look out for? What do you think? The price seems reasonable at usd 3,500. I am looking forward to hear from you guys. Greetings Per
jedzep
http://home.provide.net/~cfh/century.html I think you'll appreciate the lightness and easier playability of an L00. I've seen them around for the money you're looking to spend. Too bad you didn't take one home when you tried it out. In the last year or so, it seems the price of an L00 has taken a big jump.
