Riffster
That looks really cool. It also means that you can amplify a POD or similar device.
daveinspain
Cool, should have a dock in it too though...
Riffster
I don't know Dave a dock would look cheesy, plue like the article says iPod connectors are about to change. It'd be nice if this thing has a USB port for power in the back, that way you can connect a bluetooth receiver and use your iPhone or iPod wirelessly, that's the way to go. daveinspain
Yeah good idea but your ipod would be charging as you use it with a dock... if they change the connector they'll have to make an adapter to the new format... Too many things out there that use the ipod and iphone connector...
Windmills Optional
I'm sure from a practical perspective the changing iPod connectors was a big factor, but for the designers I suspect the notion of a cord and jack added to the aesthetic mojo. Riffster
Yea for sure, also they can simply add a USB port to charge the iPod and that fixes the issue. The 1/8" input assuming is stereo is not going to go out of style any time soon. You want a dock when the device will interact with the iPod, like remote controlling, in this case no such thing. I do hope they put it in production and it is priced nicely.
Searcy
Unless it's less than $100 I can;t see it being anything but a Marshall fan boy party favor. Any $20 pawn shop amps will to the exact same thing. My 60watt solid state Crate amp came with an input for an MP3 player 5 years ago.
