I tried out a Classic Custom and personally didn't like as much as the 1968 re-issue (of course there was over a thousand dollars difference). What I didn't like was the fingerboard Classic Custom. The 68 reissue had Ebony and felt better; and the pickups were 57 classics on both positions. I would have wanted the 57 classic plus in the bridge position.
