bluesguitar65
I always cringe when I see guitar/bass players playing without any type of strap locking devices on their instruments. Imagine if this was your precious guitar........OUCH!!! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=uTiaAZcZURs

bluesguitar65
Yikes! Yup...I find it funny that someone would spend $$$ on a guitar but would not use some kind of strap locking device

FenderGuy1
It was an Ibanez anyway haha if that was a real 335 I would've cried
CoreyT
Schaller Strap Locks on all but Baby Fernandes. It is a lap guitar only. Put a set on my sons PRS last weekend and I have a set ready for my new PRS which is due any day.
Zeppelinguy
I've never used a strap lock in my life. Nor have I ever dropped a guitar.
dem00n
Saying your never going to need a strap lock is like saying you ride a motorcycle daily and your not going to crash. Theres people who have crashed and people who will crash. Theres people who have dropped their guitar and people who will drop their guitar... Riffster
Holy yikes Batman, that sucks, One time I caught my LP by the neck mid-air, now most have locks except my Fenders.
Zeppelinguy
Not waving one's hands in the air helps not destroy one's instrument considerably.

kaleb
It was an Ibanez anyway haha if that was a real 335 I would've cried What's wrong with Ibanez? Ibanez make some of the best guitars available. Those Artcore series guitars are just as good as others. (335s are made of laminated maple in case you didn't know) If Angus played one you'd be all over em'. Any guitar is worth crying over IMHO. Buxom
There's this thing called not having a s***** strap and/or having good reflexes. I've almost busted my guitar, and have always caught it. I think straplocks are ridiculous. They're eyesores to me.

Riffster
The funny thing about this is that one thinks that whether a strap slipping off the button or not is under one's control...that's until you find out you really were not on top of it. Buxom
If you had straplocks... If I had bad reflexes... The reflex that comes into play is almost like the nutshot reflex. From years of my brother and I bag-tagging eachother, it's safe to say that I'm certified to move my hands to block, or catch something. And plus, that only happens if I raise my guitar up, which I rarely do. I'm still not sold on them.

bonzoboy
The only guitar of my 30 that has strap locks is my Epi Trad Pro LP and that is only because she came with them.I was considering getting a set for my 1965 John Lennon Casino as it was one of the first 50 made and may appreciate more than most other JL Casinos.I have always made a practice of having at least one hand on the guitar.Even after over 40 years of gigging I have never had a guitar drop or strap break-knock on wood.
