Otherwise it usually turns out worse than what it was to begin with. If you're very brave and want to try it yourself, you can check out this link. sfden1 Posted November 26, 2008 Share Posted November 26, 2008 I've paid a local luthier to fill some dings in a nitro finish on my Santa Cruz. It wasn't tooo expensive and came out looking nice. Making it look good though requires an expert hand. And too, if you play it, dings are inevitable. My advice would be to save your money, chalk it up to added mojo and learn to love it.
