Planet Waves Guitar Polish Express Pack

i did a search and couldn't really find a thread that talked about it, but has anyone tried the express pack on their LP's? if not, has anyone heard any good or bad about it? the people at george's music couldn't really tell me, and they didn't carry virtuoso, so i was going to buy this ($3.99) and order virtuoso online later on when i go back home (out of town for the holidays but brought my guitar with me)

any opinions appreciated

well since no one has anything to say about it, i decided to try it out so that SOMEONE on this forum can give reviews.

so onto the review portion:

the Planet Waves Express Pack comes with a "3 step" type cleaner/polisher/shiner package for $3.99. so i used a soft cotton cloth and applied the step 1 RESTORE packet (about 2 coats) and buffed that out.

Step 2 PROTECT was about 2-4 go arounds

Step 3 SHINE - don't bother. only made everything worse than before clean/polish so skip this step. i had to re-polish or (step 2) again to get it back to the shine. this caused watermarks everywhere and when you dried with a cloth it just made it hazy and cloudy. probably causes the step 1/step 2 chemicals to mix wrong/run who knows.

overall, i'd get it again. the packets may say one time quick care etc etc but there is definitely enough for more than one coat on more than one guitar for those who have envied collections. theres at least enough cleaner/polisher for 2-4 guitars depending on how many coats you do.

anyways, bottom line: got my scratches out, took out the cloudiness, and renewed that glossy finish. hope someone got something out of this lil last minute product experiment ha

take it easy,

phil
