Super300
I believe if the amp is unmolested, the best way to date it is to look at the manufacture/date codes embossed into the components inside the amp. On the transformers you may find seven numbers that indicate the manufacturer and the year and week of the year that component was made. For example: 5246245. The first three digits is the EIA manufacturer code number for Triwec Transformer. The 6245 indicate the 45th week of 1962. The understanding of course is that sometime after the manufacture of the component the amplifier was assembled. I believe that one can be reasonably accurate by saying the transformer mentioned above came from an amp produced in late 1962 or early 1963. I hope this helps and I don't sound like a nurd. L5Larry
Serial numbers of Gibson amps are very well documented and easy to determine. Let "Google" be your friend.
