pickups on LP Studio

Hi,

I have a LP studio.

The pickups seems exceptionally 'hot'. Hot to a point were they overwhelm my pedals.

Is there anything anyone can suggest to clam them down some?

Excellent question

I have the same pickups .

If you figure it out let me know.

So far I'm aiming at replacing the pickups with a 57 classic and classic plus

Lower them by 1/8th" inch

That's what I would do. Be careful not to lower them too much, they might fall into the cavities and you would have to take out the strings and pickup rings.

Most of the time pickups are too hot you can just lower them or lower the volume. (one of my "students" plays with all his guitars (lucky kid) volume at 7. Never higher.)

Which studio do you have and what pickups are these? Do they have ceramic magnets? Those would be exceptionally hot.
