AlanH Posted September 18, 2012 Author Posted September 18, 2012 What the hell. Let's have another. He's been in my avatar for long enough: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=IZBKQpY1pis
AlanH Posted September 19, 2012 Author Posted September 19, 2012 Nice one. I like your take on the solo.
Rocky4 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 A fantastic album. I still listen to songs from it quite frequently. The live side is some of the best stuff I've ever heard. Oddly enough, Tush is my least favorite song on the album, probably due to classic radio. I have heard that a strat was used for Blue Jean Blues (the same goes for La Grange)
Elmer Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Just for you .. Darn, I was trying that too...but you beat me there, you are better sir :) http://soundcloud.com/elmer_scupture/zzlookalike

btoth76 Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Hello! It's called: Gretsch G6199 "Billy-Bo" Jupiter Thunderbird. Cheers... Bence
Guest Farnsbarns Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 Nice lead work.....sounds like Spirit in the sky riff to me? That would be weird in a ZZ Top thread! It's La Grange by ZZ Top. Here's the original...
Versatile Posted September 19, 2012 Posted September 19, 2012 From what I hear 'the man' has a continuous supply of 'Billy Bo's' from Gretsch... Mostly with subtle differences...often single P/U etc... Gotta Luvva Gretsch or 10... V
D28boy Posted September 20, 2012 Posted September 20, 2012 That would be weird in a ZZ Top thread! It's La Grange by ZZ Top. Here's the original... Now I know where Seasick Steve got his sound from !
