ppinnick
Hello All, Has anyone seen a Gibson like this before? It has a bolt-on neck, with a serial number stamped into the back of the headstock. However, it only has "USA" stamped into the headstock, not "Made in USA" like most Gibsons. That, combined with the crappy "Overlords of Music" trem makes me suspect a counterfeit. Anyone know this model? Wish I could have taken more pics, but the pawn shop owner wasn't too happy with me for taking these 2... Thanks for any info, ppinnick

BobB
That style of truss rod cover was used on Epiphone models for a while, but this thing is not an Epiphone either. Strange bird.
Sutoria
Yeah that is definitely NOTA a gibson and I'm just a rookie on these guitars [even though I own one ]Definitely don't buy it. It looks terrible and probably sounds just as terrible.
DestructorsKillMusic1982
200% FAKE. Just awful looking. And I'd avoid those Overlord tremolos, I had one, it was junk. The cheap diecast centerblock was awful.
DestructorsKillMusic1982
And don't believe the "USA" stamp on it, I don't buy that, either.
ppinnick
Well, my suspicion seems to be unanimously confirmed - NOT a Gibby. Even in their darkest Norlin days, I couldn't remember Gibson putting out something this poorly constructed/designed. Thanks All.

Bender 4 Life
clue #1, pawnbroker didn't really want it photo'ed......... tell him that if he doesn't let you have it for $20 you'll turn him in for copywrite(sp?) infringement......
