EADGBE
The new case smells like vanilla, it's sweet and it would be nice it there weren't way too much of it. I won't be keeping the guitar in the case but i'd like to keep the case in the house readily available for the frequent use. With that smell it's impossible, I don't want a "Wunderbaum odorizer" for my house. So what should I do with the case? A week outdoors? Oxidation treatment? Sun? Trade it to and old case with someone? Suggestions?
swampash
I love the smell. :)
zigzag
Leaving it outside in the sun will work best, but you can also leave it open inside and hit it hard, slowly, and repeatedly with a hot hair dryer.
btoth76
It will vanish in half a year. Cheers... Bence
stein
If they had that smell in a bottle, I would spray my car with it. I love it.
Twiz
That's a great smell! I have found the only way to get rid of it is to play some gigs in smokey bars.
Jeff-7
My SG case still has the smell and I've had it for 2 years, I'd be happy if it never leaves. Maybe a charcoal filter left inside the empty case?
LPguitarman
Mine hasn't gone away. Got it in 2007. Still smells great.

RaysEpiphone
As Robert Schimmel once said... "Well then stop smelling it"!
badbluesplayer
I'm with Zigzag - let it bake in the sun outside. That'll drive off the smell. If I did that it would probably rain as soon as I forgot about it.

fretter
Don't listen to these people with their foolish talk of trade or setting in the sun. Those won't really work. The best solution is to send the case to me with guitar in it (works better this way) and all your problems will be gone. Just trying to help. 10K-DB
Maybe dump a box of moth balls inside,,and close case for min 3 weeks,,that may get rid of it.{If you want it gone, anyways}
