gostros9
What case(s) will accommodate an Epiphone Emperor Swingster? I have tried a couple cases and I haven't been able to find one that will accommodate the Bigsby tailpiece and the wire arm tremolo bar. What case will do the trick? Model name/number much appreciated! Attached is a picture of the guitar in question. gostros9

The case looks to be too shallow-plus my guitar has the Bigsby tailpiece and tremolo bar on top which is where i ran into problems on the other case i bought-the tremolo mechanism was too high. With the Guitar in the case before closing all that needs to be done, move the trem arm to about the 5:00 position, lower the case top and button it up.Viola!!! jfine
Viola??? I thought the post was about guitar cases. [biggrin]LOL! For the record, it's actually spelled "Voila". I've seen some crazy misspellings of that, though--"Wallah" for one--well, it's French after all, and French spelling is pretty strange to us English-speaking folk... kidblast
If you want an Epi case, You need this.. http://www.sweetwater.com/store/detail/EJUMBO?utm_source=none&utm_medium=PPC&utm_campaign=none&gclid=CJ2o_f3s07ICFYFo4AodLlkAfA I have an Emperor Regent, and that's the same body as the Swingster, that's the case I bought with it. The trem will fit fine. plenty of room for it.
Parabar
Sorry, kidblast, that's not correct. The Emperor Regent has a 17" wide lower bout and a rim depth of 3". The Swingster has a 16" wide lower bout and a rim depth of 2.75", so it would flop around in the Emperor Regent case. The Swingster will fit in the same case as an Epi Joe Pass or ES-175. I didn't realize that - it looked to me like it was the same body - but if that's the "case" (ahem..) then yea, Joe Pass case would probably do it. thx for correcting me before anyone bought a case on that (bad) advice. Cobalt
My Swingster fit perfectly except for Bigsby arm being pressed just a tiny bit. To remedy that I loosened the Allen nut and slid the arm in about an inch. I leave it like that and it fits fine.

That is all it takes for mine as well. It seems as if most sales techs don't have a clue about what case to recommend for the Swingster.
