Any interesting band names?

Any interesting band names you've been in?

The one I liked best from those I'd been in was "The Penetrations".

Perfect name. Happy go lucky Bass player Glen Rechniff had the right idea when he got us our first place to play & labeled us with that name.

All of the ones I've been in have been pretty boring:

The eMGees

The Whinin' Boys

The Carroll County Boys

Last Minute String Band

Nelson, Michaud, Platter and Rutter

The B-111 Jug Stompers

The name that I really liked (but it was always voted down by my band mates) was Give Reggie a Wedgie.

Some people just don't know brilliance when it appears.

Lemme see.........band names I've played under......

Lefty & the Rights, The Bovines, Lips & the Trips, Good Grease

......probably a few more I can't recall at the moment. Think I liked the LntR handle the best.

My cohort Darrin the drummer liked the name "Double D" as the lead player's name was Dan. The female vocalist wasn't too happy about the double entendre. They changed the name of the band to "B Cup". She quit.

LOL..... [laugh]

Numerous 'post high school' bands that names seemed to change on a weekly basis..... [tongue]

Couple of bands I was in during the 1990's to 2000's - were.....

The Money Shot

Hi-Fi Killers ... I always dug that name

My band in college (80's) was named Sinister Footwear. Kind of long for the band days...

We ( Hi-Fi Killers ) were huge Zappa fans.......

Did you hear that little story about Frank Zappa & Deep Purple..

I vaguely remember it..

I dont remember which Purple band member mentioned it but they were with Frank Zappa in the Rolling Stones Mobile Recording Studio and the thing caught fire while they were in there..

Everyone about to exit Frank Zappa says to them hold on don't worry its nothing relax...gets up front and jumps out the window.

I dont remember it word for word but ill never forget the image of it.

The Tired Servicemen should have made it out of the corridors -

Have to add there wasn't any hidden meanings there -

Maybe we even got it wrong. It referred to our on and off jobs at the different gas-stations in town (and had no military connection).

Had a mate in a punk/shock band called 'black vomit' lyrical content was a bit rough but they were surprisingly poppy. My first band outing was called 'pleasurehead' - glad that didn't last long...

Nothing terribly interesting.

The Hairy Things (back in the mid-1960s and chosen after hearing a comment made by a none-too adoring fan)

Radio City (kept this one for alot of years)

Southern Can (what else but an acoustic blues band)

Little Floater (kind of a string band thing with a floating lineup - basically any number of folks who were around played).
