rocketman Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 This was sent to me from Ed Boyle, owner of Fret Doctor. Note the use of 2 fingers on left hand - remarkable! http://www.youtube.com/watch?NR=1&v=M-qWgNgWDe4&
pippy Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Yup. That clip is from the 'Chasing Sound - The Les Paul Story' documentary. Django's influence on Paul was considerable in the days before Les 'chased' his 'New Sound' idea. If you listen to Les' recordings from the late '40s there's much Manouche in the mix. Even the choice of tracks Les favoured right up to his iridium Club slots contained much of Django's regular fare. Two Outstanding Greats of the world of guitar. Rarely will we see their likes again (and that's not merely trite hyperbole). P.
FirstMeasure Posted September 28, 2012 Posted September 28, 2012 Yep. He's a player. Both of em'...... We're not interested in their personal lives.
