Bluesburst
It such an awesome guitar why are they stopping it ? =P~ Marketing 102... Create demand by limiting or temporarily halting supply It's an icon guitar that will always have some demand but not always as much as they would like. OR Don't be surprised if the whole range is reduced to take them through the current economic problems. I'm sure Gibson will not be the only manufacturer taking such action. Anyway, that's my 2c worth
Bloozman
I always preffereed the V over the VII cause the middle pickup isnt there..It's where I strum, and the pickup interferes with it. Maybe people weren't buying the VII for that reason?
TattooedCarrot
They remove a classic like that bird, but pump out all those horrid ideas like robots of every incarnation and swiss cheese looking V's? Sorry, I just don't get the logic.
Oringo
It's funny when you look at the history of the Firebird model, Gibson never really seems to have sold that many, but they keep coming back as re-issues. The VII will probably come back again in a few years. Let's face it, if you're a Firebird nut, one of things we like about them is that they're relatively rare guitars. rmngretsch14
I've always wanted a bird with p-90s, Gibson just doesnt turn out enough guitars with those sweet puppies. I propose a "faded" firebird with p-90s at a entry level price. Probably will never happen, I may be all the demand, but still
hfdoll
I prefer the V myself. The VII is cool to look at, but i would not own one - I love my V.
