JamGuy Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 WOWZERS... what a sweet little amp!!! Sounds great even with my lengthy effects chain plowing into the front end of it. Channel 1 is fantastic as are the amp models on channel 2. The reverb setting are nice as well. I don't see myself using many of the effects (at least at home) but they sound decent and it's cool to have them there for when I jam at friends' houses. I recently traded my Mustang III modeling amp which didn't hold a candle to this little number... it won't be missed. Anyhow, here's the debut jam vid on the new Super Champ... enjoy! http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=TnDv0MZGImo

I like that Chanp amp. I have a G-Dec30 that I use as a second amp in a two amp setup. The first amp being a '65 Deluxe Reverb Reissue. Like the Champ it hooks up to Fender Fuse on your PC or Mac. Loads of fun playing along with the backing .MP3's and you can get subtle effects going on by adjusting the volume of the GDec in relation to the Deluxe. Mine is all solid state though and the tubes on the Champ must make it sound way better.
kaleb Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 No disrespect to FG1, but... You are the Fender Guy around here to me!
brad1 Posted October 5, 2012 Posted October 5, 2012 Congratulations my friend. You have discovered what I did a couple of years ago when I got my Super Champ XD. It's the X2s older brother. Same amp, but yours has usb connectivity and tap tempo fx. I love my SC! Only 15 watts but it can get really loud! And it reeks of tube toneness! I often play on the volume 1 channel which bypasses all the DSP stuff. Sounds so nice. I'm happy for ya man, cause I know what you're hearing. One of THE best small amps for the money. Oh, and I almost forgot, great playing. I always enjoy watching/listening to your videos. I always comment on your Jerry-like playing and Grateful Dead riffs. Love it!!!

Blueblooded Posted October 6, 2012 Posted October 6, 2012 Excellent amp choice and nice playing. I fell in love and brought home one of the first series of this, the Super Champ XD and at the $300 price point it is the perfect amp for all kinds of playing styles that don't require more than 15 tube driven watts. While you demo'd the clean channel, the extra amp voicings and high quality basic effects that are built in are also amazing on channel 2. For those that haven't checked these out, they also have a footswitch jack that can change channels and effects on and off, and a line out jack. The 10" speaker is connected using a 1/4" jack so you can disconnect and connect to a cab. I connect mine to a SuperSonic 100 4x12 (V30 loaded) cab and it sounds even more amazing. Well worth checking it out.
