guy's which one should i get, best buy??

1960 classic reissue (2003) or a 97 standard, both local and only £100 difference. They are both in about the same condition but im not really sure on any of the pro's/con's on these models so thought I would see what you lot think??

If I were in your shoes, I'd go with the Standard fo sho.

The one that has the pickguard that affects the tone less. You can knoow this by looking at the shade of creme of the pickguard.

If I'm not mistaken, '97 Standards have 490/498 pickups. The Classic has the 496/500 combo.

Can you play them first? That's a must! Most people here will probably say get the Standard (including myself), but it's impossible to say which is better without hearing them first.

Judging only by the ebay photo's, I'd definitely go with the standard. The classic has those god-awfull snot green colored fret markers. Woof! That alone is a major turn off for me.
