Nighthawk Restoration

Hey all, my first post/topic

Anyway, I have a 1995 Gibson Nighthawk with the 2 p/u arrangement and dot inlays. Many years ago I was jamming with some friends and, due to a strap-lok malfunction, the guitar hit the concrete floor, headstock-first, breaking the headstock at the neck joint. I put the guitar away and had to use whatever other guitar i had at the time. Now fast forward several years to the present. I just joined a professional hard-rock band, and these guys play with all high-end equipment, including the lead guitarist's LP custom and the bassist's Thunderbird. I am currently playing on an LTD Viper-50, which doesn't sound bad, just doesn't sound great. After years of not having the money to have this guitar fixed, I looked up how to do this myself. After I repair the neck, I need to replace the pots, and probably the switch as well, and I was wondering if anybody could offer me suggestions on what guts to use to fix this wonderful instrument, and get it rocking the way it needs to.

Original pots would have been a 300K Linear taper volume and a 500K audio taper tone pot. If you need a wiring diagram, just email your request to service@gibson.com. We have a schematic and a wiring diagram available for the two pick-up Nighthawk models. Thanks.

Ok, so I have the neck fixed, nut replaced, strings on the guitar. I tried playing without replacing any of the electronics, and it sounds fine. I need one thing really: a replacement for the long lost backplate. I think it's the same style as the SG, but I'm not sure. Can anyone tell me for sure what I need?
