Irish Brian in Sweden
Hi all, Have always wanted to own a vintage 355 Cherry...... just this weekend I saw one here in Stockholm selling for 28.000 SEK which is about 4200 USD. I'm guessing that would be an acceptable price for a mildly modified guitar but this one seems to have a LOT done to it. For a start it's pretty worn, but also (translating poorly from Swedish) new frets, new bindings on neck, new Grover Rotomatic of which 5 are NOS , new pickup frames ? and covers to the humbuckers, patentsticker humbuckers, new binding plate on the neck joint? nytt no varnish on the back of the neck, new nashville-bridge, then says all original electronics with case. Obviously not a collector's guitar but I'm looking to play it not invest. Still I want to pay a fair price. Any tips? Brian
