Plus Top Dan
Dear Fellow Epiphoners, I'm going to change the pups on my ES-339 and I want to keep the coil splitting so my choices needed to include the 4 conector wiring. I am torn between... Seymour Duncan Pearly Gates & Alnico 2 or Seymour Duncan JB & Jazz Both of these cominations get good reviews but I wonder if any of you have any specific opinions on them - specifically fiited in an ES-339 or similar. Cheers,
antwhi2001
I have the JB at the bridge on my 339 Ultra. I have owned the Pearly Gates before, and frankly I can't tell the difference - both are very good and similar sounding. I find on semis that I get an acceptable tone out of pretty much any humbucker in the neck position, as long as it's set at the right height. Pin
I'd go for the Seymour Duncan dual option personally.
