tarlek
Recently picked up a 2005 SG Supreme. Hands down the best sounding guitar I own but has some minor issues. Frets are decent, but there is a lot of slight buzz in various places. Truss rod is not real tight. Should I straighten the neck more, and raise the bridge if needed, or vice-versa? Also tends to get out of tune rather quickly. Tightened up the tuners, cut the bridge slots deeper (they were virtually non-existent, especially the high E which pretty much had no slot.) Not really sure what to do next, have installed the pre-cut TUSQ nuts on other guitars with good results so I might do that sometime, or have someone make one. tarlek
Turns out that some bad strings (Dean Markley) were to blame for the frustrating tuning problems! They were becoming unraveled at the bridge. I used a different brand and it's staying in tune great now.
