Kennis
Sounds great! I like the red one too, but the Pelham Blue won my heart the moment I saw it, and I wont feel complete until I own it

The clean setting was decent and gave a nice impression of what the guitar is capable of, but the gain setting sounded terrible. Probably not a great amp, and, shudder, not tubes... CowboyBillyBob1
I love the sound of P-90's. There is nothing quite like them. The video posted here does not realy capture their tone very well. Still I have been thinking of replacing one or both of the Classic '57's in my Midtown Standard /Bibgsby with Gibsons P-94's. They are P-90's that fit in a humbucker slot. Anyone have any experience with the P-94's? From what I have read they are exactly the same as P-90's except for the housing they are in. I think that would make my Midtown the bomb! Especially with the Bigsby.

I'm considering the Seymour Duncan P-Rails for the best of all worlds.

A P94 might just be the thing my Midtown Custom needs too... I'm considering the Seymour Duncan P-Rails for the best of all worlds. That Seymour Duncan pick up sounds pretty cool. A few things come to mind. It sounds "almost" like a Strat, "almost" like a P-90, and not really sure of the humbucking mode but it appears to be a bit higher output than the '57's on my Midtown Standard. I have heard reviews of Seymour Duncans Phat Cat (P-90 for Humbucker slot) and generally the opinion is that they do not sound exactly like a P-90 or P-94. You also have to consider how you are going to enable the selector switch. Maybe push/pull pots on the volume and tone controls. This kind of thing always happens. You (not you personally) are looking for a simple P-90 sound on the Midtown and the next thing you know you're changing pots and getting more complicated. They both have their merits but I think I want to keep to the KISS principle... Keep It Simple Stupid.
CowboyBillyBob1
Theres another one here I saw this on a privious post and it is definately the better of the two. The guy plays well enough to illustrate the tones it has to offer as well. In tune too!
