My new Grace Potter V

highnumber

Recommended Posts

Hey Folks-

First, my question: I got my new GP V today and on the back of the headstock it says:

"MADE IN USA 2013 MODEL"

I originally read that there were 900 of these to be produced.

Does this mean it is a second run or do they all say this?

My impression of this guitar:

WOW!! from the minute I opened the (super-fine) case.

The overall looks are great. Great pickguard. Very classy and vintage-y.\

Great color(s).

The binding really sets it off.

The weight and balance are perfect for me.

I like the neck, which is smaller than some.

The tones and overall sound were just fantastic.

The QC and setup were perfect on this and it is quality throughout.

I never really pictured myself with a V, but this one feels like a natural.

This guitar is a real winner in my opinion.

The headstock shows the date/model in question.

Thanks for any help!

Beautiful guitar, congratulation [thumbup]

I guess the "2013 model" is not related to the year it was made (good work Sherlock, we're still in 2012 [biggrin] ).

What are the 1th and the 5th digits of the serial?

1 & 2 which was the reason for my confusion...

Thanks-

  • 2 months later...

I just received my Grace Potter Flying V Friday morning and the fit, finish, setup and playability right out of the box was the best of any new Gibson I've ever purchased.

This is a classy guitar and feels solid as a rock with old-school rock and blues tone to die for.....the Burstbucker Pros have a very rich, round, full midrange and they cut and have a great range of tones.

This V is a VERY tight playing and tight feeling guitar........I'm very happy with this guitar.

GREAT JOB, Gibson!
