What are ya using for an amp? Maybe a Mustang?

(PS: I love that backing track you're using, I have it linked on my studio PC too, it's cool. reminds me of Jeff Beck's Diamond Dust of the Blow by Blow Album)

Hello Friend!

Congratulations on Your new guitar! A beauty! That's what I call REAL Les Paul tone!

When You switched to the neck pickup...did You change effect settings/amp channel as well? That tone is like honey!

Great playing as always! [thumbup]

Cheers... Bence

Sweet.

For some reason the cost of Traditionals dropped so I jumped on that and got one of my favorites.

The price drop is likely because Gibson has past their legal problems now and is just clearing all of the remaining guitars with laminated fretboards and other types of fretboard woods.

For some reason the cost of Traditionals dropped so I jumped on that and got one of my favorites. A 2012 LP Desert Burst. I love this guitar. I added a video where you can hear how nice it sounds and see the nice flame top on it. I love this guitar.

I think the price drop is due to the new Trad Pro 2s that are coming

There was also a message on the Gibson facebook feed thingy (on the front page of the main site) that said something like... We have alot of new and exciting things to come in 2013. There will be a moderate price rise but we feel the new changes will be worth it.. Or something to that effect.. So we will soon see :)

(awesome guitar by the way, and nice playing as always [thumbup] )

So wut do you think this will mean for Les Paul's in '13? Back to the Rosewoods from before or continuing with Baked Maple? More electronics (ie. push/pull a la Standards)and more figured tops? I keep hearing rumours that big news is coming...

Thank you Kidblast. I am using the power section of a Fender Deluxe hot rod with a carl martin plexi tone.

Hi Bence, Thank you. Nothing was switched between pickups. I have the guitar going into a Carl Martin Plexi Tone then into a delay pedal then into the return on the loop. I'm bypassing the preamp in the amp and only using the power section of the amp which is a Fender Hot Rod Deluxe III. I think it sounds better going straight into the return. I have a friend that's a guitar tech for a band that suggested that to me and ever since then I hook it up that way. It goes from the ripping rear pup to the creamy tone of the front with just hitting the pup switch.

Thanks. I bought a traditional lightburst a few months back at the regular price and when it dropped I got the desertburst a few weeks back. they dropped another couple hundred. Gibson is launching a whole new line of Les Pauls for 2013 and the stores are eliminating inventory. Both of my trads have rosewood boards and AA flame maple tops. I just wish Gibson kept the trads in their line up. It's the standards od the 80's and 90's.

Nice playing and tone

Beautiful guitar, desert burst looks nicer on the plus than the pro plain top

Thank you. I love this guitar. I also have a trad lightburst which I love too and a Standard 08 gold top. people are going nuts buying them up at the lower prices. Music stores bought out Gibson's inventory and selling them for the new lines coming in 2013. I wish the would have kept the trad though.

Thanks Rabs. It sounds like their making the new ones like the 2012 standards with coiltaps and such.

The trads and standards do have rosewood boards. I had a 2012 standard I didn't care for the coiltaps. I returned it and got the trad desert burst, i also have a trad lightburst too that i love. as for the standards i like the 08 better than the 2012 imho. gibson will probably mees it all up and go back. LOL.
