SRV-Zeppelin Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 And just when I thought I couldn't like Customs any more, THIS comes along...
RichCI Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Posing it in front of those sweet old Marshalls must not be helping you any either.
retrosurfer1959 Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Now that's a white guitar! I don't really like white guitars very much but like I said in a post a few day's back wants they yellow with age and turn into a nice cream color then there hard to beat. Thats gogeous and looks to be in pretty good shape for a thirty year old Axe
SRV-Zeppelin Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 Posing it in front of those sweet old Marshalls must not be helping you any either. Not at all... I want a DSL 100 (JCM 2000) half stack so badly right now....

Thats gogeous and looks to be in pretty good shape for a thirty year old Axe I was under the impression that Gibson made a cream-finish from the factory during the 70s (like the Epi custom) for Customs... I didn't know they yellowed with age. But you probably know more about it than I do...
RichCI Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 They absolutely yellow with age, just like the one in the auction you posted. I have an old Ibanez (late 70s?) that looks similar to a Les Paul and it's finish has aged to very close to what is in those pictures of the LP.
SRV-Zeppelin Posted December 2, 2008 Author Posted December 2, 2008 Interesting. I guess that's just more motivation to buy a white Custom when I can afford it!
mildperv Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 That particular Custom has been on ebay for months (literally). It started at $4500 and is now$3999. It needs to drop another grand.
