Twiz
It's a Reverend Daredevil. I got it used from Guitar Denter. It's got some dings, and really needed a setup. It's playing pretty good now that I fixed the action and tweaked the truss rod. This is a discontinued model, but I really like their take on the double cut shape. I'm probably going to get a Sensei in tobacco burst next. (crappy iPhone photos)

Dub-T-123
That guitar screams desert/stoner rawk. How does it sound?
Twiz
I like the sound of it. They have something called a 'bass contour' knob on their guitars. Basically what it does is it removes or adds some low end, much like how the tone knob cuts off the highs. If it's all the way up, it sounds like a regular humbucker equipped electric, but if I turn it down, the guitar gets kinda twangy. Not quite like a Tele or something, but in that ballpark. It's a really solid guitar. I like it.
rct
Sporty! Enjoy it long time in good health! Thank you for Guitar Denter. Fun Nay. rct

By the way how's that album coming along? Yea. They're passive. No weird circuit inside either. -Just one other pot. The record is done. We got them last week. My friend and I are screen printing the covers. Our release show is November 30. It should be pretty cool. We just got interviewed for a City Paper article (out next week), and later next week we're getting some coverage in the Post Gazette's weekend section (due out around 11/30). In a way, I can't wait for it to be over. Haha. We're going to hopefully start tracking for the full length in February.
Dub-T-123
That's great, dude! How are you feeling about the record? Did you use your own amps and pedals and whatnot? I'd like to buy a copy off you when they're ready. Apparently my drummer just got the final cuts of 3 demo tracks yesterday that we recorded with a friend. Not great quality but we're going to a really nice studio in a few months to record an EP. We're going to record on tape and all that. We're all really excited about it. Twiz
Yea. We recorded live in our practice spot. We play in this big warehouse. Sound is not the greatest but there's a nice natural reverb on the drums. Over the years a lot of bands have practiced there, and the room had accumulated a collection of dead speaker cabs. We actually made my amp isolation 'booth' out of old cabs. Haha. It was weird. I think it sounds good. It's weird playing a record and hearing your band. Riffster
Please post the info on how to buy a copy when it comes out. Congrats on the guitar, I have been considering the P90 version, who knows when I will finally pull the trigger on a P90 guitar. Reverend makes really nice guitars and they sound fantastic, I still have the sound and incredible playing of the Unknown Hinson embedded in my brain, maybe because I was on the first row in from of his 4x12 but dang he gets the most out of his signature model. Twiz
Here's a (crappy) demo vid I just did with my phone. Not the best riff, but I was trying to show what that bass contour knob does. Dub-T-123 I used a certain pedal that I know you'll dig. All knobs at 12:00, except the volume on the Vox. I'm going neck pup, bass contour on, then off. Then neck and bridge together, bass contour on, then off. Then bridge, on, off... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=qKXUS_M7r2k

So the bass contour pot acts as an overall 'master' regardless of pup selection and vol setting? There's no mixing of levels involved - it simply works when you dial it in? Nice looking guitar, too. And 'Guitar Denter' will become part of the Forum's vocabulary, I'm sure...lol! P.
retrosurfer1959
You'll enjoy the Rev there a great guitar especially for the price point they typically sell at. I have several both the older models and even a few fairly modern ones including a Volcano, Sensei Ra, and a Sensei JR with a P-90 I just recently picked up from Wildwood. There addictive. Yep, it's just as you described. -Sort of like another tone knob that works no matter what pickup configuration you are using. Playing around with it makes for some pretty neat sounds. As for 'Guitar Denter' I can't take credit for that. I actually think I read it on this forum a year or two ago in a thread about Guitar Center. I can't remember who said it, but it was someone that posted regularly. AXE® maybe? Probably. But yea, I don't even call that place Guitar Center anymore. Haha. The Sensei Jr is the one I want! I really like the natural finish one. Kinda has a TV Yellow vibe to it. I like the Volcano as well. Kind of a cool retro take on an asymmetrical V.
