Gibson Dove Accessories

Hey all hope everything is going good.

 

I just had a quick question, I just bought a dove a few days ago brand new (I LOVE IT) and i was looking to make it a little more custom.

 

Its beautiful the way it is with the pearl in-lays but i was wondering if anyone knew if it was possible to buy the grover tuners that are on the "Doves in flight" model, that have the doves engraved into it. Also i was wondering if anyone knew of someone who made custom truss rods?

First I would recommend replacing the plastic end pins with some Bob Colosi Bone pins or Fossilized Walrus Ivory pins... 2A size worked great on my Gibson AJ:

I am hoping my wife and kids get me one of these for my Gibson AJ this Christmas... It was designed for Gibsons and I liked the design so well, I got a tattoo designed around it but with more flair and meaning... It has my wifes initial in the heart and each of my 4 kids initials in the Lotus Flower, my Gibson AJ shape and my Taylor's headstock with a Blue music note to signify my love of the Blues.....

The truss rod cover can be found here at Jorma's Fur Piece Ranch... I don't expect the "Gold" one, but want the silver one!

Let us know what you end up doing to "Pimp" your guitar. I love how good the Bob Colosi Double inlay bone pins pimped up my AJ! Now I just have to wait until Christmas and hope the wife and kids come through with the Gibson Truss rod cover from the Fur Piece Ranch and it will be perfect!

;) so after calling montana and the local gibson dealer (guitar center) the only way to own a pair of dove inlayed grover tuners is to buy the doves in flight model :( they only make enough tuners for the guitars... how can i make this more customized besides the truss rod :( oh well! ill find a way. ;)

Like I suggested before, some nice fancy endpins can make it "bling" right up!

Contact Gibson for the DIF tuners. It only takes money.
