Rolling Stones Documentary “Crossfire Hurricane” Debuts on HBO Tonight

It’s time for Stones fans to pop some popcorn and get comfy on the couch, because the band’s much-anticipated new documentary, Crossfire Hurricane, debuts on HBO tonight (Nov. 15)! Following its premiere U.S. screening on Tuesday (Nov. 13) in New York City, The Rolling Stones’ inspired film will air at 9 p.m. ET/PT on HBO and then be available on-demand to HBO subscribers beginning tomorrow.

This year, of course, marks the 50th anniversary of the Rolling Stones. Crossfire Hurricane chronicles the band’s rise to the top, and it includes both the highs and lows of becoming the world’s biggest rock band.

“Crossfire Hurricane is a great metaphor for the band’s journey, as well as making this film,” filmmaker Brett Morgen told the the Daily Beast. “We started cutting in April and had to finish in August. Normally, these films take years to put together.

“I wouldn’t go see a ‘50th Anniversary Rolling Stones’ film because it sounds like a piece of merchandise you’d pick up at Best Buy. But we figured we could really blow people’s minds by doing something different: an art-experimental film.”
