Brown Rug Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 How did they look? From what I understand, the finish is slightly worn accordance to an actual VOS. Did it have those 'scratch' lines all over the guitar?
Tim Plains Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Looks great! Mine doesn't have any scratch lines, but it does look worn in. You can get them in a high gloss finish...just like historic Les Pauls.
slimjimdom Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Next time you ask about a VOS your thread should start with "Hey Tim do you have one of these" and end with something like "you're a ..... Cool guy" maybe?? idk use your imagination.
GuitarJunkie Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 Is there a choice of vibrola? Yes. I was lusting after a white one at a local shop' date=' but (luckily) they just sold it. They also had a cherry one... [img']http://i250.photobucket.com/albums/gg251/2manyGuitars/misc/vos_sgs.jpg[/img]
GuitarJunkie Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 When I see a pair like that, I inexplicably get this strange urge to stick my face between them and make motorboat noises...
Silverbursted Posted December 2, 2008 Posted December 2, 2008 When I see a pair like that' date=' I inexplicably get this strange urge to stick my face between them and make motorboat noises...[/quote']+++ I have the same feeling!!!

Tim Plains Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Next time you ask about a VOS your thread should start with "Hey Tim do you have one of these" and end with something like "you're a ..... Cool guy" maybe?? idk use your imagination. Who pissed on your corn flakes?
hi13ts Posted December 3, 2008 Posted December 3, 2008 Those trems do nothing for me' date=' now if those were hard tails. Serious motorboat sounds.[/quote'] You can find so many hard tails, but only once in a while do I find a delicious vibrola. Also, it's more versatile....and fun.
Brown Rug Posted December 12, 2008 Author Posted December 12, 2008 bump can you guys describe the 'worn look' to me? i don't know if i can describe this clearly, but when you guys look at guitars at guitar shops, they sometimes have streaks all over their finish that look like scratch marks but they go in a straight line from top to bottom, maybe a hazy look to it to add on as well. is that what i will expect from a VOS finish or would it just be a duller looking finish?
